Erstwhile controversy-ridden pair Kris Aquino and James Yap had a joint birthday celebration on February 14 at Felix, the restaurant at Greenbelt 5 owned by Ben Chan, and Richard and Lucy Gomez. Born a day apart but on different years (Kris was born on February 14, 1971, James in February 15, 1982), the birthday couple both stood out in white: Kris came in a Martin Bautista creation and James in a simple white shirt.

Felix was transformed into a love-filled oasis of pink and Valentine red and dotted by the sea of yellow-clad Noynoy Aquino (himself in black) supporters including his sisters Ballsy, Pinky and Viel and girlfriend, Valenzuela City councilor Shalani Soledad. Chef Florabel Co provided the gourmet feast for the pair's close friends including Gretchen Barretto, Ruffa Gutierrez, Boy Abunda, Agot Isidro, Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Liz Uy, "Mother" Lily Monteverde, and Phoemela Baranda. Kris, James, Baby James and Joshua were the picture of joyful family unity as Kris and James blew the candles on their twin towers of cupcakes. We probably know who didn't supply the cupcakes...Happy Birthday Kris and James!

I love FELIX though I find it kinda overrated. DYESEBEL, a luscious baked John Dory stuffed with shrimp & taro in coconut cream, served with white rice and fried eggplant, is my favorite entree.

Those who keep on throwing Rajo under the bus, I suggest that you order SEBASTIAN, yummy CRABmeat.

To Faith, Hope, and Charity (gays), cheers!!!

Papa James, bakit parang nabulunan ka when you were asked about your love for Kris on live TV?

Bakit noong tayo pa, you were more straightforward with your answers?

Happy Birthday. Happy V-day. I miss those moments. You did not even invite me to this occasion.

I understand. Faith aka Mayen, Hope aka Hope, and Charity aka Moi had a few drinks at nearby M Cafe. Cheerios!

I know Kris is Kris and James is James. However, if I were the image consultant of the Noynoy team I would definitely discourage this high profile sosihan publicity especially if the Villar camp will juxtapose the sosyalan images here with the dirty urchins and basuras. Think how the collective throng aka masa will perceive this strong images.

spot, another one. ms. soledad is not running for congress (rep. shalani soledad), she's running for councilor.

    Hi Gecko,

Thanks for the correction on the Soledad typo. But it really is Baranda, as verified by Phem herself. Her name is often misspelled with two r's.

    Thanks for always reading Spot.ph!

And also, Barranda instead of Baranda. Sorry for nit-picking. >_<
