The 15th French Film Festival in Manila officially launched on June 3 at the Shangri-la Cineplex, attracting actors Robin Padilla, Luis Manzano, Jericho Rosales (who escorted the event's host and entertainment reporter Cesca Litton, whom he is exclusively dating), and Carla Humphries; TV host Raymond Gutierrez; and models Solenn Heussaff, Isabelle Daza and Adrien Semblat.
French box-office hit L'Amour C'est Mieux à Deux (The Perfect Date) was screened right after the program led by French Ambassador Thierry Borja de Mozota. In a press release, Padilla said he admires the way French cinema focuses on stories of genuine human experience rather than special effects. He wished Philippine cinema could do the same.
