Rockwell Tent went retro for the launch of Original Penguin by Munsingwear's Spring/Summer 2010 Collection on June 17. Over 40 ensembles were showcased featuring retro basics with a modern twist. Penguin polos sealed with their famous insignia were matched with casual jeans, blazers, ties, and more. In keeping with the theme, the venue was transformed into a '50s diner replica with a makeshift jukebox onstage and attendants on roller blades, with a Vespa and Combi Van on display.

Manila personalities gamely showed up with their own take on Penguin pieces: John Estrada, Priscilla Meirelles, Agot Isidro with husband Manu Sandejas, Rissa Mananquil, Tim Yap, Stephanie Kienle, Brent Javier, Karen Pamintuan, Joey Samson, Robby Carmona, Grace Lee, Lexi Schulze, Mai Kaufman, Helena Belmonte, Francis Libiran, Anthony Suntay, and Paolo Trillo.

Other celebrities spotted at the event were Eula Valdez, Divine Lee, Phoemela Baranda, Rovilson Fernandez and Juddha Paolo. Local bands The Bloomfields and The Diegos performed classic rock and music mixes.

Original Penguin branches are located at Power Plant Mall, Shangri-La Plaza, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, Bonifacio High Street and Anthem Greenbelt 5. Soon to open at TriNoma and New Port City.
