Pinoy comics fans will know Larry Alcala, creator of the Slice of Life and Kalabog en Bosyo series. With over 50 years of cartooning tucked under his belt, Larry Alcala's playful characters add whimsy to Solo's new collection. His illustrations are now immortalized in local fashion via Solo's Pinoy Cartoonist Memorabilia collection with limited edition graphic tees, polo shirts, woven tops, dresses and men's long-sleeved shirts. The pop collection also includes tote bags, clutches, notebook and mugs.

To launch and celebrate the works of the well-known cartoonist and illustrator, Solo will be searching for two new faces of Solo for 2011 through an Online Model Search. Aspiring models should don one of Larry Alcala's items with the creative use of graphic elements available in the contest website upon submission. The contest will run until November 15.
