Ronald Ventura holds auction record in Asian contemporary art scene, says The New York Times

The New York Times reports that Filipino artist Ronald Ventura now holds the auction record for contemporary Southeast Asian art. The report revealed: "In April, one of his large graphite, acrylic and oil on canvas works, Grayground, sold for 8.42 million Hong Kong dollars, or $1.1 million, at Sotheby's Hong Kong, surpassing the record set by the Indonesian artist Nyoman Masriadi in 2008."
