Get a bite of this: The Harvard Lampoon will release Nightlight, a parody novel on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling Twilight series, on November 3, reports ew.com. The book launch is just in time for the opening of The Twilight Saga: New Moon on November 20.
Nightlight is about vampire-obsessed Belle Goose who moves to Switchblade, Oregon and meets "super hot computer nerd" Edwart Mullen. Belle is convinced Edwart is a vampire after witnessing strange events like Edwart leaving his Tater Tots untouched and saving her from a flying snowball. Though Edwart doesn't date, Belle is determined to become his eternal bride.
Nightlight comes 40 years after The Harvard Lampoon's last parody novel Bored of the Rings, a spoof of J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. The Harvard Lampoon is a humor magazine that started at Harvard University in 1876.
