UPDATED on November 24, 11:30 a.m.:

Jason Ivler also allegedly threatened to kill another man the night before he shot Renato Ebarle Jr. to death in a traffic altercation, reports Philstar.com.

According to Philstar.com., Manolito Cuya, 47, told police that he was threatened at gunpoint by Ivler after he blew his horn at the latter's vehicle at around 9 p.m. on Hemady Street in Quezon City. Cuya alleged that Ivler approached his vehicle and pointed his handgun at him, saying: "Masuwerte ka may kasama kang mga bata. Pero pag nakita kita uli, papatayin na kita (You're lucky you have children with you. If I see you again, I'll kill you)." Cuya was with his wife, sister-in-law, daughter, and niece at the time. Additional charges of grave threats are set to be filed against Ivler, says the Quezon City Police District.

Jason Ivler, son of ADB British Economist Stephen Pollard is now being hunted on a nationwide scale by National Bureau of Investigation for the suspected homicide of Renato Victor Ebarle, 27, son of Presidential Chief of Staff, Renato Ebarle Sr, reports GMANews.TV.

Ivler is banned from leaving the country by the NBI. He is believed to be armed with a .45 pistol and has been classified "armed and dangerous." "We're conducting a nationwide manhunt to make him (Ivler) account for this gruesome and heinous crime. We're employing all territorial forces in land, air, and sea and we're ordering all national operational support units to leave no stone unturned," Philippine National Police spokesman Chief Supt. Leonardo Espina told GMANews.TV.

Witnesses have claimed that a bald headed Caucasian-looking man, between 25-30 years old, about 5'8", with a tattoo on his arm, stepped out of his blue Honda CRV, with the diplomatic plate number 20903, and shot Ebarle at close range, three times, through the car's windshield after an almost collision.

Chief Insp. Benjamin Elenzano, head of the QCPD homicide section, determined that the vehicle described belonged to Pollard, based on the records of the Highway Patrol Group.

Ivler has a previous homicide record for the killing of former Undersecretary Nestor C. Ponce Jr. in a fatal car accident back in 2004. His mother, Marlene, sister of singer Freddie Aguilar, had once attested that her son's life was under threat after the first incident. She says Jason was only three when his biological father, Robert Ivler, was killed in a car accident in Thailand. She appeared in a clip aired on a TV Patrol in tears, appealing for her son to surrender to police:

It's the Philippines, so after 5 years or so this will all be forgotten. He just needs to weather the media storm and public indignation for now...
Even if he is found guilty, Ivler will be pardoned for "good behavior" after a while.
Short-term memories of the Filipinos and a culture of impunity - just look at the cases of Erap, Jalosjos, Teehankee, etc.

You can see this in Ampatuan's reaction as well...he laughs in court for his trial because he knows how the "justice" system in this country works.

Thank God there's Wowowee and Teledramas to appease the masses and keep them from revolting.

Malacañang official accused of attempted homicide
    By Jeannette Andrade
    Inquirer
    First Posted 01:54:00 10/13/2007

Filed Under: Road Transport, Local authorities
MANILA, Philippines – A complaint for attempted homicide was filed yesterday against an undersecretary of the office of the presidential chief of staff.
Warrick Evidente of Barangay Mariana, New Manila, Quezon City filed the complaint at the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Cubao police station 7 after Renato Ebarle allegedly tried to run him over with his sports utility vehicle. Evidente, a 40-year-old sales executive, said the incident stemmed from a traffic problem.
The Greenhills, San Juan police detachment reported that the incident started at around 9:35 a.m. along 1st Street in Barangay Mariana.
Evidente and his 5-year-old son were about to leave their townhouse aboard a maroon Toyota Corolla (WCU-158) to buy bread when Ebarle’s charcoal gray Toyota Land Cruiser with a 12* license plate in front and RET-565 in the back, suddenly appeared, the report said. Ebarle stepped on the brakes to prevent a collision.
Evidente told the Inquirer that Ebarle started hurling invectives at him and threatened to kill him, adding that he worked in Malacañang.
Evidente said he got his son out of the car and asked a security guard to take him home. As he was about to board his car again, Ebarle stepped on the accelerator, sideswiping his left leg, he said.
Despite an injured leg, Evidente chased Ebarle until they reached the corner of Santolan Road and Ortigas Avenue in San Juan. During the chase, the Land Cruiser allegedly tried to get Evidente’s car off the road.
SPO1 Gerardo Matias, who was aboard San Juan mobile unit 431, noticed the incident and told them to stop. Evidente told him his version of the story. When Matias asked Ebarle to get off his vehicle, the latter reportedly introduced himself as a Malacañang official and said he wanted the case to be brought to PNP chief Director General Avelino Razon in Camp Crame. He handed Matias a business card.
When Matias threatened to charge him with willful disobedience of a person in authority, Ebarle agreed to go to the San Juan Police detachment in Greenhills. Once there, Ebarle reportedly excused himself when his lawyer Ben Dangaso arrived, allegedly promising that the latter would take care of the matter since he had to go to Malacañang.
Matias told the Inquirer he asked the lawyer to wait while he brought the victim to the San Juan Medical Center for examination. When they returned, Dangaso was also gone.
In a telephone interview, Dangaso told the Inquirer he left the station because he knew the incident was outside the jurisdiction of San Juan authorities.
He said his client would file counter-charges against Evidente and the San Juan police for allegedly filing a false report.

sa mga critics ni jason ivler eto sa inyo.......

mga wala kayong alam... kung ano man ang napala ng mga napatay niya eh cguradong they deserve it and got exactly what’s coming to them and sa mga nag woworry sa mga family members nila na everyday sa kalsada please be reminded that the moment they took the keys to their car and stick it into the ignition they already signed up for death. in fact even the thought of owning a car is already considered like having an insurance policy..in short you are preparing for death. sa mga naniniwala sa so called "justice" well... so sad my amigo there's no such thing.... or even if it did exists I’m sure only capable people are entitled to it. Remember justice is a privilege, not a right. rights are imaginary, its only made up by us like the tikbalang and aswang, pinnochio, multo rights are ideas and sometimes they're cute ideas. If you don’t agree and you’re in your adult doing well in life or not you must've been sleeping the whole time. And still if you're not convinced ask yourself or let me ask you WHO GAVE YOU YOUR RIGHTS??? Rights you have been fighting about? Is it GOD? JESUS? THE GOVT? I’m sure your first answer will be GOD... it’s called the GOD excuse, can’t blame it right? GOD is the last refuge for people who has no or has run out of answers. Think again folks hehehehe so funny isn’t it.

dr. phil its even more traumatic if he was 3 years old because a lot of memories were repressed and the trauma surfaces from those repressed memories

there are things that we dont remember when we were young and these forgotten memories are usually the reasons for what and who we are today.

WTF! he almost got away the first and second time considering he murdered people who are well connected? if those people he killed were poor, he would definitely get away with it.
the f***ing police proves once again that they are useless. my friend had a experience with those i-d-i-o-t police in bacolod city, there was this time my friend reported thru the phone that a robbery was in progress inside his house. those useless public servants told my friend that they could not respond to the scene because the police car doesn\'t have gas. the worst part is that the police station was just across the gas station. f***ing idiots!

Jason is very fearful no doubt. I don't think he will live prior to his judgment day. I bet everyone is looking and watching. If I were you Jason, face your consequences and be a man, watching you on the news smiling with your middle finger sign makes me want to punch your face.

Yeah, Justice should be served. Her kids act as if they can get away with anything, Marlene's son once said that he could kill someone and could get away with it because they had diplomatic immunity or something because of their step father....

Yes, Dr. Phil. You should know that yourself, Mr. talk show man (:D)

In a more serious note: Yes, childhood traumas are actually worse than traumas incurred in adulthood. Even if the victim does not remember the incident, it will stay lodged in his head, affecting his actions.

See: studies on adults sexually-abused as children.
