After 12-round win, Pacquiao sings "La Bamba" in victory concert

Published: Mar 15, 2010 - 10:56am

After Manny Pacquiao dominated Joshua Clottey and won by unanimous decision in the World Boxing Organization welterweight title fight on March 14, the pound-for-pound king took to the stage once more. Manny's first song was "La Bamba" in his victory concert at the Gold Club Rangers Ballpark near the boxing event's venue, the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Journey frontman Arnel Pineda jammed with Manny and his MP band, and Manny's wife Jinkee also danced together, reports 24 Oras. Jinkee was noticably attentive to the boxing king and immediately ordered steak for him when they got to the Ballpark, according to the news report. Although they were spotted at the match, there are no reports about First Gentleman Mike Arroyo and House Speaker Prospero Nograles attending Pacquiao's concert.

"I was nervous at first but later on, it was evident that he'd win," Jinkee told 24 Oras in Filipino. She told Showbiz Central that Hollywood stars who couldn't make it to the fight, Mark Wahlberg and Steven Seagal, called Manny to congratulate him. She also called her seatmates during the match, "Team Jinkee."

Manny will perform in another concert with his MP band in Hawaii next weekend, reports Inquirer.net.

Pacman, the message is crystal clear. The Filipino people love you as a world-class BOXER. PERIOD.

You lost the first election. Your movie flopped during the holidays.

    Don't you get it yet?

Manny is just living the time of his life... engrandaciously (if there is such a word for it!). Just do everything you want (wag lang bad things) and don't mind others comments, chismis!
