Rep. Teddy Boy Locsin loses temper, hurls expletives during House meeting

Published: May 21, 2010 - 12:03pm

Makati City Rep. Teddy Boy Locsin Jr., chairman of the House Committee on Electoral Reforms and Suffrage, lost his temper and hurled expletives during the House meeting on alleged poll fraud, reports GMAnews.tv.

Smartmatic-TIM admitted that the supposed time stamp errors on election returns from automated voting machines were "relative" and "unforeseen."

An irate Teddy Boy Locsin said: "Your system has no security whatsoever, and that's ridiculous. Do you realize what fools you have made of legislators who pushed for this law? Your assurance was that if fraud is committed, we will be able to trace it... Now you're telling me this?"

The time and date stamps on the election returns indicate when polls were closed and results were transmitted from a specific precinct. Former Environment Secretary Lito Atienza, who was also present at the meeting, reported cases of wrong times and dates printed on ERs produced by automated counting machines in some of the city's precincts last May 10.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) maintains that no poll fraud took place. Comelec   chairman Jose Melo told GMAnews.tv that the time errors will not affect the results of the polls.

Lia - "cracks in the system" do not mean massive fraud; because if it is, then, Noy should not be celebrating yet.

Dona Victorina - Amen to what you said. Enrile in the Senate, the Marcoses in power again. Some things never really change.

Doremi - how can it be crab mentality to point out the truth? by your reasoning is it more nationalistic, more Filipino to be satisfied and content with the election results even if SmartMatic themselves just admitted that there were cracks in the system?

This is the same former Press Secretary Teddy Boy who pointed a dirty finger at the journalists during the first week of the Cory presidency and said to them, "Feed the dogs...".

After 27 years, some things never change.

To me this is a conspiracy of massive fraud far worse than plunder or rebellion. This is a crime against the whole Pilipino people because they tampered our will of choice of leaders. This is our basic and sacred right. Smartmatic should return all the money and criminal case be filed against them and all involve with exemplary and moral damages. Capital punishment must be imposed, lethal injection or electric chair.

Everybody is focusing on the transmittal, hardware etc. The real fraud was in the flash card which was the basis of election returns, of the transmittal and down the line in the process. That is why the flash cards were replaced 10-days before election with pre-encoded votes. The actual votes were deleted and the pre-encoded votes were printed and transmitted by the PCOS machines. So this the reason wrong dates appear in the election returns.

We have to erase all doubts as to who the real winners are. Manual recount based on ballots is the only solution.

Why is it so that when someone looses here, its always "i've been cheated".I hope these gentlemen would just learn to accept defeat. Please move on...have pity on our country.Crab mentality still prevails. Sigh,,sigh..sigh.
