Kris Aquino interrogates Noynoy's girlfriend Shalani Soldedad on The Buzz

Valenzuela 2nd District Councilor Shalani Soledad opened up about her relationship with presidential candidate Noynoy Aquino on The Buzz last May 23, reports ABS-CBNNews.com.

Soledad, 30, was interviewed by Noynoy's youngest sister, Kris, in an exclusive one-on-one interview. She shared details about how she met Noynoy, what their relationship is like, and her thoughts on his remarks about marriage not being a priority.

One of the most interesting questions that Kris asked was about Soledad's first meeting with the senator in 2008. Soledad obliged her by relating: "[We] were seated across and then kinukwento niya na 20 years ago na mayroong coup tapos three of his [security men] were gunned down. Sabi niya it's a miracle na nabuhay daw siya. So, sabi ko naman sa kanya na, "Senator, baka hindi mo pa talaga time.' Ang sabi niya, 'Oo nga, dahil 20 years after makikilala pala kita.'"

To which Kris laughingly said, "Kadiri ha, Noy. Gross. Hindi ko kaya! I thought I was the baduy one in the family. Kinabog ako ni Noy sa linyang 'yon."

Soledad likewise revealed that their first date was a movie date for the KC Concepcion-Richard Gutierrez starrer, For the First Time. When asked how she knew he was the one, she replied: "Kinikilig ako. With Noy, from previous relationships, parang na-realize mo na kung ano ang gusto mo. And you would want someone na honest sa'yo, 'yong totoo, 'yong hindi ka binobola lang."

On Noynoy as a boyfriend: "Thoughtful si Noy in a sense na sa birthdays, special occassions at kung ano ang nagiging need mo, ina-anticipate na niya."

When asked about Noynoy's statements on marriage, Soledad says, "Ang focus talaga should be on the task ahead of him kasi ang hirap." But added that she hopes that she can wait for him for 6 more years. "Siyempre ako I'm looking forward kasi when you're in a relationship, you're looking forward long-term. Since mahal mo you would support what he wants and what he needs."

She added: "Ako kasi I just pray. Kasi when you are in a relationship you just hope na it would be better. Siyempre, long term, di ba? Let's see. Kasi hangga't mahal mo ang tao, maghihintay ka."

    I was the one who asked for specifics regarding corruptions committed by the Kamag-anak Inc. Ito lang tungkol sa jewels wala na ibang iba? Medyo nakakatawa naman kasi ang source from the grapevine pa na hindi pwede kasuhan, unlike nitong ZTE scandal na may witness pa at nakasuhan pa yong mga involve although abswelto si FG pero questionable naman.

    Well all I can say is it looks like pure mudslinging lang ng mga kalaban sa politika.

    Specific example regarding corruption with the Vintage KamagAnak Inc? how about this: according to the grapevine, many were wondering what happened to the crown jewels left by Imelda which was already catalogued and indexed by the PCGG,which went missing.After a couple of years, it was spotted on the long fingers of Mrs.Socialite who is the wife of the head honcho of KamagAnak Inc.himself! Urban Legend? your guess is as good as mine!

    I'm wondering why Dinky S. is so special? She is a RE-THREAD, and if she could stab GMA in the back ,what make you think she can't do it with NoyNoy? I say NO to all the HYATT10! give us some fresh faces!

    PCGG Commissioner Abcede gave an unsolicited advice to Noynoy Aquino about using Kris, being a celebrity in reaching out to the masa. And I think ABS CBN is coming up a with tv show related to this to be hosted by Kris.

    Well kung makakatulong sa mga tao, why not? Pwede si Kris sa mga ganitong programa at hindi doon sa pagiging presidential protocol officer, hindi siya bagay.

    ha ha ha Twin Towers?. So funny. But if you really think about it, Filipinos are clannish by nature and of course it can't be avoided that relatives will be among your close circle of advisers. If we put ourselves in their situation, we may do the same.

    The important thing is they are NOT involve in corruption. We may have heard about the Kamag-anak Inc. during Cory's time, but there was no specific corruption that can be pointed out (all were just heresies - but if you have info, can you tell me? maybe I just missed it). During Arroyo's time specific talaga yong corruption involving the First Gentlemean(like the ZTE, etc) where you can deduce that the allegation must be true.

    Now if Noynoy did not win, of course Estrada would now be our President apparent. We are in for the worst with all the mistresses deciding who will be hired (kasi ito ang nangyari noon -sa mistresses nag-apply ang gustong manungkulan sa Gobyerno-at kung pareho ang trabaho ang natipuhan ang mananalo ay yung ni-rekomenda ng paboritong mistress)

    So dito na ako kay Noynoy kasi yung dalawang kapatid (twin towers) ay hindi naman known na corrupt. So makaka-asa tayo na magagaling ang pipiliin nila.

    The KamagAnak Inc. no longer exists? wrong! it's alive and well, and has been updated according to Cito Beltran. It's the twin towers now ( Ballsy & Pinky) who are calling the shots.

    If the tasks involved what Rachel mentioned, of course Kris will NOT be a fine Presidential Protocol Officer. You don't even need to ask that and I think Kris or her family will be the first ones to oppose in case Kris will be considered in that position. Everyone of us has his/her own strengths and weaknesses. And certainly Kris is weak in this area.

    This is one good thing about Kris Aquino. She is so transparent (not plastic as alleged by her detractors) that we all know where to place her.

    I have a good laugh reading the entries of that facebook hate campaign for Kris. People there are actually AGONIZING everyday with Kris still in the country they even resort to using FOUL language. They get angry especially if there is news about Kris (and I just laugh especially reading the entries venting their frustrations).

    It is not actually good to laugh at other people’s MISERIES but I just can’t help it because these people can actually avoid it if they want to. One of these days I will not be surprised if a member of that hate group will just die of high blood pressure etc. just because they HATE Kris so much. Meanwhile Kris is laughing all the way to the bank.

    Some posters here may not like Kris Aquino, but for those who like her, she is a source of fun (her self deprecating humor is classic). Definitely she is not a role model and she is not trying to be one - she said so herself. Her dalliances may not be good but it is her life and personal choices which we don't have anything to do with, and besides it is the norm in showbiz. Her being tactless admittedly can sometimes be irritating, but on the whole she can be one funny lady and down to earth.

    And that is Kris, you either hate her or love her. But it is easy for those who don’t like her : just IGNORE her. DON'T WATCH her shows and if she is a news item, DON'T READ.

    Hey I am not stopping you to make any comments. You can go on and on but I will also say my piece/opinion on what you are saying and as you said this is a free country. Huwag ka mapikon kung pansinin ko yong comments ninyo.

    Anyway, so Kris is all over the place? Ha ha ha tanggapin na lang ninyo ang katotohanan that Kris will be here forever which sadly irritates some few people which includes you. But the bigger reality is you are grossly outnumbered by people who like her. That is why multi-national companies are willing to pay her big bucks.

    It amuses me to no end when people get so mad at Kris as if their lives depend on it. Well I actually enjoy your comments, In fact if I want a good laugh I will just read your comments all over again and imagine you seething in anger.

    As for Kris being a slut, I dunno. I did not say that. And for the record, I am sure I do not have a relative who has had many boyfriends or a child/children out of wedlock, etc.

    As for deepscrew's comments, chill arlene. Say what you want but allow people to express what they also want. After all, this is a free country.

    "You take some of your precious time to make comments here." - I am not like your friend whoever he or she is. Just because you do not like a person does not mean you can not make any comment here. I may not like, say, Noynoy, but if there is something to comment about him, why should that prevent me from stating my case? Get it?

    You do not really understand arlene. The phrase "all over the place" does not mean she is in all channels. This can also mean in billboards, commercials, endorsements, etc.

    You are just like my friend, even if you don't like Kris but you take some of your precious time to make comments
    here.

    And you said Kris is all over the place? The last time I check you can only see her in one channel and there are many channels to choose from so that you avoid seeing her. And what do you do with the remote control? You can just press it if you don't want to watch her. Hence you are just like my friend.

    And you call her a slut? So having 5 or 7 boyfriends in your lifetime makes you a ho? So any relative of yours who had the same number you also call a ho? And any relative of yours who has a child out of wedlock you also call a ho?

    And a woman with many boyfriends is the past and who is now legally married is forever a ho? wow how judgmental people are.

    @Arlene55 - How can you not watch Kris when she is all over the place? Besides, you do not watch a show JUST for Kris since you miss the opportunity of seeing others who are worth watching. Why will I deprive myself of watching the other elements in the show just because Kris is in that show?

    Then, Kris does not really know her brother well. What is so corny about what Noynoy said? Only those people who had not been given that much care and affection by a man would think it is corny. And Kris... is probably one of them. Read deepscrews suggestion, if you may.

    The expression is not about being inggit. Ang sabi ni Kris akala niya siya lang ang baduy sa pamilya, pati pala kapatid niya for saying such things (yong kakornihan ni Noynoy for saying that his life was spared dahil ma- meet pala niya si sahalani 20 yrs. after). Over-melodramatic ba kaya napa-yucks si kris.

    The irony with professed Kris haters is that they can't help but still watch Kris.

Hindi ba niya alam na may na-issue nang memo ang Civil Service Commission nuon pa na BAWAL manigarilyo sa lahat ng government offices. Ang Malacanang ba hindi government office?     Kulang ang tidbits mo. According to my source inside the Hacienda Luisita, ang unang lalaki raw na nakakuha ki Kris, eh yung anak daw mismo ng Kapatas/Foreman nila sa Hacienda. Kaya daw na exile pa sa US iyan si Kris para ilayo doon sa lalaki. Kaya technically, pang apat na si James Yap. O baka meron pa kayong ibang alam diyan? showbiz tidbits lang naman ito....BTW, hindi rin wealthy ang family ni James Yap,ordinary lang pareho lang siguro nila Soledad. Kris stressed the following: Shalani did not finish a college degree, her Mom is an OFW, her parents are separated, she was a member of Religious Club in HS(Kris said, "Hahaha! ano ba yun?"). When Shalani said, "Noy told me he almost died 20 years ago during a coup. In fact, 3 of his guards were gunned down. He was lucky to be spared. Noy realizes now why he was spared... because 20 years later, he met me..," Kris said Yuck! Kadiri! Ano ba yan!!!.

    Sigh. Kris, inggit ka lang. Kasi ang una mo very much married-with many children-womanizer Phillip Salvador; pangalawa mo equally very much married-with many children-womanizer Joey Marquez who gave you an STD but you got even because you crushed his balls, as you yourself said in national television; at pangatlo, ikaw pa namanhikan, James Yap na never mo binanggit family background. In fact, in recent memory, you said, "Ang laki ng utang na loob ko kay James at pinakasalan ako." After what you had gone through? Yeah, you can say that again.

    This is the first time I saw Shalani in an interview and she come out very honest and she look very "mabait". She's very simple but elegant, a perfect match for Noy. She will make a great First Lady as she has the compassion and a little bit of Cory's lovable characters in her too. I hope Noy and the rest of the Aquino family realizes what a gem she is!
