Kris Aquino's grounds for ending her marriage to James Yap will shock the public, say her lawyers

Actress, TV host and Presidential sister Kris Aquino's lawyers say that her grounds for ending her marriage to basketball player James Yap will shock the public, reports 24 Oras. One of Aquino's lawyers, Atty. Anna Liza Logan told GMA 7 reporter Nelson Canlas that Aquino wants "to let James Yap know that she (Aquino) is serious this time; that this is final."

According to Logan, they are just awaiting Aquino's return from the U.S. to file the petition for declaration of nullity of Aquino and Yap's marriage. The lawyers did not disclose their grounds for dissolving the marriage and asked the public to not speculate. Aquino's other lawyer Atty. Anne Goboy-Lapuz told Santiago,"We do not want to give the court an impression that we are already trying the case in public."

Aquino's lawyers, however, say there might be a way to halt the impending legal battle. "Kung maligawan niya ulit tapos mapasagot niya ulit, I guess that's the only thing that can stop this," said Logan.

Yap can start negotiations with Aquino's camp according to Logan. "There are things naman na pwedeng pag-agree-han like 'yung visitation, arrangement, 'yung mga bagay na 'yun, kung gusto niya nang umpisahan," said Logan.

Yap refused to comment further on the matter and said he does not want to complicate matters, and asked the public for understanding.

    KRIS: Why will a self-respecting wife in her right thinking damage the reputation of her husband (present or former)? Kailangan ba talagang ipaalam sa publiko ang baho ng asawa mo? If you can do that to your husband who you claim to love, what can stop you from doing that to your friends?

    MARIA MALIBOG: Hindi ko nais ang pangalan na ginagamit mo, subalit malaya mong maipapatuloy ang pagtatala ng iyong mga pananaw hingil sa atin paksa. Natutuwa rin ako sa iyo sapagkat wala ka naman nilalait sa mga kasama natin dito. Wasto lang na batikusin o puruin mo si KRIS sapagkat siya ang ating paksa.

    Maria Malibog: kaya siguro iyan ang handle name mo ay kulang ka ka sa buh-rat, ano? Anyway, I don't want to stoop down so low pero I can't help but give your own dose of medicine. Kung may pinagaralan (and I bet you have, dahil marunong kang mag-internet), you would have thought a thousand times over bago mo sinulat ang comment mo tungkol kay Joshua at sa lahat ng batang katulad nya. Mas masahol ka pa sa mga taong kulang-kulang ang pagiisip (na iyong nilait) dahil lumalabas na wala kang isip. I wish you no ill will, but I hope (and knock on wood) you don't experience what Kris and all mothers like her experience with their special children. But if it happens to you, I just hope that you would have the sense to ask for God's forgiveness and the humility to apologize to Joshua and all the children like him for unkindly disparaging them.

    Joshua does not have Down syndrome. He has autism and ADHD. His musical abilities, however, is that of a genius. Me problema sya sa speech and social activities pero yung academic skills nya normal sa age nya.
    Ingat ka Maria Malibog, baka makarma ka. Baka ka magkaroon ng anak o pamangkin na special child. Lahat ng kakilala kong mapanlait nakakarma. At least si Kris me pang- bayad sa napakamahal na therapy tsaka si Joshua, his future was already secured by his mommy. Enjoy making ignorant comments on the board bago pa mangyari yun, Maria.

    you dont know how it feels to have a child with any abnormality,be it physical or mental..sobrang sakit,it is one thing that can break a mother's heart..so sana kung si kris ang gusto nyong tirahin,spare Joshua.,kaya nga tinawag silang special children so they will be treated in a special way..magpasalamat kayo na normal kayo,o normal nga kaya,na may ganyan naman kayong klaseng pag-iisip?

I think what Josh has is boarder line ng autism, which is quiet sad dahil may itsura pa naman ang bata at ang taas ha!Kaka awa nga lang dahil they have Kris as a mother,isang luka luka na nasa paa ang utak.since politics is in nowadays, di ba nyo pansin andun sya nagsusumiksik ngayon?     Apparently, Kris' lawyers are doing a striptease act. Piecemeal information at a time. That is the strategy. The objective is to pressure James' side to sign the papers and leave unless he wants to hire a battery of lawyers and deplete his resources.
