Beauty queen, actress and TV host Ruffa Gutierrez considers Smartmatic president Cesar Flores her "NFF" (newfound friend) and says getting linked to him is "premature," reports PEP.ph. According to Gutierrez, she has only seen Flores thrice, making the rumors that they are dating premature. Gutierrez told PEP.ph during the presscon of TV5's new show Star Factor, "All that I can say is that he's just a new friend. We've just recently met. So, I'm beginning to enjoy his company and get to know him better as a friend. As of now, wala pa siya rito. He's back home in Venezuela."
Gutierrez added, after being asked about her mother Anabelle Rama's reaction to the rumors, "Well, alam mo ang favorite word ko these days is premature. It's still premature for any of that, kung boto sila. You know, I think they should give us time to know each other. And importante naman kasi sa pagpapakilala mo sa isang tao or getting to know them pag may privacy. Siyempre, hindi naman puwedeng lahat na lang ikukuwento ko sa inyo, di ba?"
When PEP.ph asked her about her thoughts on Flores, Gutierrez answered, "Well, mabait naman siya. He's very nice." She added that though there may be nothing beyond friendship between them, the important thing is that she made a new friend. The beauty queen-actress is also open to seeing Flores again when he gets back from Venezuela: "If he comes back and he calls me, let's see. If I'm free sa schedule ko. Kasi busing-busy rin ako dito sa Star Factor. Ang concentration ko now is not on the affairs of my heart, it's more on my work.
According to PEP.ph, Gutierrez says she is happy with her life and concentrating on her work. "Kumbaga, as of now kasi, masaya ako sa buhay ko. Wala naman akong dine-date na iba. Right now, hindi ako nagmamadali. As of now, ang daming projects na dumarating sa akin like Star Factor. So, kung may mga nagpapakilig sa akin o may mga nagte-text sa akin, that's just an added bonus."
Rumors came out that Gutierrez and Flores are dating after the Venezuelan was spotted at Gutierrez's birthday party last June 23. Before getting linked to Flores, Gutierrez was involved with John Lloyd Cruz, who is now with actress Shaina Magdayao.
