Viel Aquino: Our family opposed Kris' marriage to James too

24 Oras report: Kris Aquino's sister retorts to statement of James Yap's mother

Reacting to what James Yap's mother Annie said about her being against James and Kris Aquino's relationship at the onset, Kris' elder sister Viel Aquino-Dy told 24 Oras that their family also opposed the couple's marriage. "Kung tutuusin, we were also not really for the marriage. First of all, the age difference. (Kris was 34 and James was 23 when they got married; Kris is now 39 and James is 28.) Parang it was too quick a courtship. Kami rin, we thought na pag-isipan muna (nila). (Actually, we were also not really for the marriage. First of all, there's their age difference. Also, it was too quick a courtship. We thought the two should have thought it over.)"

Despite these concerns, Viel said their family supported the relationship. According to BomboRadyo.com, Viel understands Annie's defense of her son James.

Kris is currently taking legal action to have her and James' five-year marriage declared void from the beginning. They have one son, three-year-old Baby James.

    This only shows one thing - the girl found a prospect na kapalit ng kanyang dating mahal.... sometimes girls really have the tendency na malakas ang loob lalo na at may kapalit na or a prospect.... diba before sobrang inaayos pa nila talaga dahil wala namang ibang kapalit - now ng meron na... well then this is the chance.. and besides i believe the guy will not really change - paulit ulit lang yang nasimulan nya ng gawin - this is just my thoughts and i am not saying they are like that or judging they are like that... just my thoughts..... dont get me wrong but you may want to consider and think about it.. maybe true!

    People fall in and out of love which means they are alive human being with a mind and heart of their own. What is wrong with that? Sometimes whatever happens was never really meant to be.And there is always a good reason for everything.In as much as everyone has the right to have their own opinion lets just leave them alone for the sake of the little one baby james.I am sure everything is being done accordingly because both kris and james love him.

    if i remember correctly it was james who initiated contact with kris..i remember watching the buzz they were teasing kris that they have someone they want her to meet and that person is a basketball player and he is a fan of hers...so i dont think that it was kris who courted james...and to the comment that she is easy...well...the girl fell in love dapat ba magpakipot ka pa eh halata nman n gusto mu din???she might me selfish and selfcentered but who isnt....nagkataon lng na konting kilos nia eh napapansin...and it just so happened na wla sa ugali ni kris ang tumahik pag pinununa sya...aside from the "scandalous relationships" she's had she hasn't done anything really bad to anyone....kaya hinay hinay lang po....

    Kris looks like the butt-head type, she thought James might bend her way as being younger in age.Most often,this relationship don't do well at all.If one remembers Soltera movie of Maricel Soriano,parang ganon!

    Poor siblings, they have no choice but to defend their train wreck of a sister. The National Slut should be exiled so we can all get started on the P-Noy program. You can bet that this drama is affecting him and his work.


    Kris, lie-low ka nalang muna sa States, take 6 years off so your brother can do his work in peace-free of your intrigues and embarrassments. It's the best thing you can do for yourself, your family, and your country.
