GMA writes letters of condolences to HK Chief Executive Donald Tsang, Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao

Published: Aug 26, 2010 - 10:38pm

Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo expressed her condolences to the Manila hostage victims' families, through personally written letters addressed to Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang and Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao, reports Inquirer.net.

The former President said in her letter to Tsang, "Whoever may be held accountable for the violent turn in the negotiations should be penalized accordingly. This is the only way by which we can truly honor the memory of the victims and give justice to the families in their hour of bereavement." She added, "It is my earnest hope that despite this deplorable incident, the goodwill that exists between the people of Hong Kong and the Filipino people will remain undiminished."

In Arroyo's letter to Wen, she condemned the "brutal slaying which stirred outrage and caused much pain to the Chinese nation." She said, "With great sadness, I wish to express my deepest sympathy to you and to the people of the People's Republic of China, especially to the families of your eight Hong Kong compatriots who were slain during the hostage taking incident in Manila."

Arroyo vowed, in both letters dated August 26, to "closely follow" the investigation of the Quirino Grandstand hostage tragedy.

Amen!

The rest of the crew know how insincere GMA is; so give them a break.rnrnYou know naman P-Noy wants communication to pass through "appropriate channels" because he believes that Tsang is a "Provincial Governor". Apparently our current President does not know how to discern a nation-state. (Big-headed little shit).rnrnIf only the 1987 Constitution would allow a 23 year old to run the country, I will gladly take your challenge sairoak; and Im sure alot of others would.rnrnSo katulad ni GMA,shut up ka nalang muna.rnrnPeace.

buti na lang nanjan si gloria, na pinagkakatiwalaan ng mga Chinese. bakit kasi ngingiti ngiti pa si P.Noy nung nagpameeting siya eh naasar tuloy yung mga Chinese

GMA should not only sympathize. She should apologize although she won't be off the hook. If not for her corrupt administration, there will be no Eurogenarals and no Gen. Garcia. The money used by the Eurogenerals for travel could have been used to purchase SWAT equipment. The money brought to the U.S. by Gen. Garcia could have been used to buy combat boots and Kevlar helmets for our soldiers.

GMA, why don't you unload some of your loots for PNP's much needed equipments and training. The letter is of no importance and will not make a dent to ease Hongkong's anger towards us. Kaka irita ka!!

Hay Gloria... feel sorry about the kind of police force your admin created and left to PNoy's admin... Si PNoy ang sumasagot sa mga kabulukan ng pamumuno mo! Maliban sa police force, ano pa kayang kabulukan ang iniwan mo?

OMG, how pathetic...like she's the right person to convey condolences when she did diddly-squat about the various extrajudicial killings pulled off by Palparan's crew under her watch.

Oo nga noh - "why didn't she write a letter to the families of the 53 people killed in the Ampatuan massacre?"

Your true nature is showing again, Gloria. You take advantage of every situation, whether tragic or not, for your own personal gain. Why don't you explain in your letters that part of the reason why the police lack training and equipment is because of all the money that you and your cronies stole.
