World champion boxer Manny Pacquiao can now add the title 'recording artist' to his belt. In the middle of his training for the November 13 bout against Antonio Margarito, he recorded a new version of 'Sometimes When We Touch' with balladeer Dan Gil, reports GMANews.TV. Dan Hill wrote the ballad in 1977 and was released in 1978.
"Manny has this sort of sweetness and earnestness and a gentleness when he sings [the song], that is very powerful and alluring," Hill told 24 Oras. Pacquiao admitted that he was nervous about going into the recording studio with Hill. "I feel scared...[more] than boxing, you know," he told Chino Trinidad of 24 Oras.
Pacquiao's fight with Mexico’s Antonio “Tijuana Tornado" Margarito is on November 13 (November 14, Sunday in Manila) at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
