(SPOT.ph)International boxing champ Manny Pacquiao has reportedly bought a P388-million house in upscale Forbes Park, Makati City, sources say. The property in Cambridge Circle, estimated to be about 1,500 square meters in size, is said to have its own tennis court. The residence used to be the home of Roque Tordesillas, senior vice president for sales and business development of insurance brokerage company Marsh Philippines. It was bought by a prominent businessman who did major renovations on the property before selling it to Pacquiao.
In a Manila Standard article published on May 10, Janet Jamora, the twin sister of Pacquiao’s wife Jinkee, revealed that the boxing champ wanted to buy a house in Forbes Park that cost an estimated P300 million. She added that Pacquiao would purchase it once he received his prize money from the May 7 fight with "Sugar" Shane Mosely. Another source says that the Pacquiaos have been wanting to buy the house for a long time. Other well-to-do residents in the exclusive village include Tonyboy Cojuangco and Sen. Loren Legarda.
The Pacquiaos also own a $2.3-million Spanish-inspired, two-storey, four-bedroom home in the upscale neighborhood of Hancock Park in Los Angeles, California, which they bought in March 2008. In 2009, Pacquiao was reported to have bought Antonio "Jun" Tambunting Jr.’s home in Dasmariñas Village, Makati, for P223 million. They also own several pieces of property in Laguna and General Santos City.
