Paris Hilton dines with the Pacquiaos

(SPOT.ph) Manny and Jinkee Pacquiao hosted a sumptuous six-course dinner for Paris Hilton yesterday, August 16, reports ABS-CBN News. The couple was introduced to Hilton after the boxing champion's win over Sugar Shane Mosely in Las Vegas earlier this year. According to the report, Hilton, who is in the country on business, was also supposed to visit the House of Representatives but was unable to do so due to a conflict with a photo shoot.


Before the dinner, Pacquiao told GMA that he planned to talk to the heiress about contributing to charity. “I-encourage ko rin siya para makatulong sa mga mahihirap. Kung anong mapag-usapan namin, babalita ko sa inyo (I will encourage her to help the poor. Whatever else we talk about, I'll just inform everyone)," he said.

    Rich girl meets new rich couple. It's like something taken out of a Hollywood movie storyline. Thick, heavy accent and language barrier is not a wall dividing them in becoming real new friends. I think there is genuine friendship between Paris and the Pacquiaos. When Paris stops saying Pacquiao and calls them simply Manny and Jinkee in public, that's the day when real friendship begins.

    Ask help for the poor from Chavit instead of Paris. Chavit spends more time socializing in Manila than providing service to his constitutents. What a province!

    Cool pics. OK na OK na sana ang dinner with the power couple until I saw the pics of Chavit Singson all over the place. Akala ko ba ay dinner ito. Dahil sa presence ni Chavit, feeling ko tuloy ay premiere showing ito ng PLANET OF THE APES sa Maynila.

    Why would Manny ask her to help out? Why can't he encourage the corrupt leaders to stop stealing from the flipinos and do their jobs right? If she can donate, she will only give a small amount and it will not be enough to feed and send all the street children to school in Manila alone...I think the best way to solve poverty in the Philippines is to freakin' impeach all the government officials, fire all the law enforcers, and to send all the corrupt leaders in jail. Then we can replace them with people who truly advocates for the betterment of the society.

    I don't have a problem with Pacman and Jinkee enjoying dinner with Paris Hilton. That's what friends are for. Enjoy each other's company whether in Las Vegas or Manila. However, I have a problem with "encouraging" Paris Hilton to hellp the poor. That to me is pushing the envelope too far. Let us stop this culture of mendicancy. Any personality, celeb or not, will help the poor based on their own free will without pushing them. It will be best if they help without expecting anything in retun which is untrue for politicians.
