PH Street Soccer team shocks US with 4-3 win in Homeless World Cup

(SPOT.ph) In a sudden upset, the Philippine Street Soccer team defeated the United States 4-3 in the ongoing Homeless World Cup tournament in Paris yesterday, August 22, reports ABS-CBN News. The Homeless World Cup is a week-long (August 21 to 28) tournament composed of homeless and socially marginalized players from all over the world.

 

The US match served as the country's second win. After losing to Slovenia on the first day, the Philippine team beat their second rival, Ghana, with a 3-2 win, according to a separate ABS-CBN report. They are set to compete against clubs from the Netherlands and Switzerland today. According to the report, the team only needs one more win to advance in the knockout round.

    maging successful man ang Philippine Street Soccer team, hindi sila magiging kasing sikat ng philippine azkalz dahil hindi sila kasing pogi nung mga half pinoy(nga ba?) players.sad truthrnrnnakakatawa na nakakalungkot isipin at hindi maipapagkaila na kaya biglang sumikat ang azkalz eh dahil sa mga nag popogiang banyagang players na nandun at hindi talaga dahil sa pagiging fanatic ng mga pinoy sa larong soccer.rnrnyan ang pinoy! hahaha! :))

    only shows that street players play better than the azkals.. at least the former shows they are very focused with their play rather than making pa pogi points..
