The Homeless World Cup is a week-long (August 21 to 28) tournament composed of homeless and socially marginalized players from all over the world.
The US match served as the country's second win. After losing to Slovenia on the first day, the Philippine team beat their second rival, Ghana, with a 3-2 win, according to a separate ABS-CBN report. They are set to compete against clubs from the Netherlands and Switzerland today. According to the report, the team only needs one more win to advance in the knockout round.
