EDSA 1 was a historical event. EDS Ave. is a street name. I believe these readers are totally confusing the street name with the event that ended the Marcos dictatorship. He was an academician than a public servant. I believe that renaming the street makes a lot of sense because of the historical impact that led to the EDSA 1 revolution where Cory Aquino challenged to end the Marcos dictatorship.
