ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Vice-President Jejomar Binay’s website was hacked anew on New Year’s Day. The report pointed out that "the site was accessible Sunday night (January 1) but instead of government statements, visitors are welcomed by pop-up messages that say ’Hacked by PrivateX and Blackrain’ and ’Hoi Hoi #OpSecure.’" The vice president’s website is now back to normal.

The report revealed that other government websites were also defaced by the same hacker group on New Year’s Day: set.gov.ph, camiguin.gov.ph, and omb.gov.ph. As of 9:30 a.m. today, January 2, the aforementioned sites are still in their "hacked" state. The hacker group’s message still appears on their frontpages, part of which reads, "Greetings World, Happy New Year! Months had passed when we first wired our sentiments and growing passion of concern to intensify the Information Security here in the Philippines."

In July 2011, ABS-CBNNews.com also reported that Binay’s site had been defaced by Philker,  hacker group  that touted itself as "composed of Philippine hackers  [who] possess skills in the areas of cyber security, visual graphics and human manipulation [who] work on the progression of Philippine cyber culture."
