In his column, Cocktales, which is posted on Interaksyon.com, Vic Agustin reports that Francisco "Paqui" Ortigas III, 65—whose controversial estrangement from his wife Susana Madrigal Bayot, 63, has been news fodder since the start of the year—was nabbed for concubinage. Agustin revealed that Pasig police arrested Ortigas on Wednesday noon (February 15) at the Tektite Towers at the family-developed Ortigas business district.
Agustin noted: "Ortigas was surprised by policemen at the ground floor lobby who served a warrant of arrest issued by Pasig Metropolitan Trial Court Judge Joy Nerves Casihan-Dumlao for a concubinage case filed by his estranged wife, Madrigal heiress Susana Bayot, said Bayot lawyer Thea Daep." Agustin likewise divulged that Ortigas "had just emerged from a meeting at Puno and Puno law office at the building's 12th floor, along with his private secretary, Ma. Antonia Legarda." Legarda is Bayot's (ex-)best friend. However, Bayot has claimed that Legarda and Ortigas have an intimate relationship.
In any case, Agustin pointed out: "Bail for Ortigas' provisional liberty was set at P10,000."
