InterAksyon.com reports that on Wednesday evening, April 11, TV host Willie Revillame announced on his show, Wil Time Big Time, "that he will turn his organization, the I Wil Serve Foundation, into a party-list group." Revillame's foundation was set up last year.
The report quoted Revillame, who said, "Hindi ako tatakbo. Gusto ko lang magtayo. I Wil Serve Party-list (I am not running. I just want to put up a party-list. I Wil Serve Party-list.)" The group reportedly submitted the requirements for recognition as a party-list group to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) at the end of March.
InterAksyon noted: "If the said party-list is accredited by the COMELEC, it will be, Revillame hopes, as a multi-sectoral organization catering to the poor, elderly, women and even professionals. As of this time, I Wil Serve claims 3,000 members."
