ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and his trainer Freddie Roach had both denied that Pacquiao received divorce papers from his wife Jinkee on the eve of his fight with Juan Manuel Marquez last November. They were referring to a report by LA Times’ Lance Pugmire quoting Roach as saying that the divorce papers were among Pacquiao’s “distractions” during his fight with Marquez.

“I never said that in my life, but someone wrote it, and someone lied,” Roach told Steve Angeles of ABS-CBN News North America. “I said I knew him (Manny) and his wife weren’t getting along before the fight, but I never said that.”

The report also said Pacquiao had likewise denied the divorce rumors. The report also quoted the world renowned fighter as saying that “his newfound commitment to religion has helped him have a distraction-free training camp.”

That guy Roach suffers the debilitating effects of Parkinson's disease, and some scribe out to out-scoop everyone still wants to put words into his mouth! Shameless. They're really in it for Pacquiao's team. If Bradley wallops the guy atop the squared circle sometime in June.. know where to pin some of the blame; the ancillary chatter at the sidelines.
