Lady Gaga defies PH religious groups' threats, sings "Judas" at concert

Published: May 22, 2012 - 8:30am

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that pop star Lady Gaga defied "threats from conservative Christians" by singing the song, "Judas," and "Born This Way," which has been tagged as a gay anthem, on the first night of her concert series at the SM Mall of Asia on Monday, May 21.

The report further revealed: "The American pop singer and songwriter, who is known for her outlandish costumes, arrived on stage riding a black stallion. She opened her concert wearing a conservative Filipiniana-like Armani dress amid the backdrop of a protest by conservative Christians in the country." The singer then declared, "I'm not a creature of your government, Manila."

She's not even a creature of this world. Government pa kaya? Mali din na pinipilit ang paniniwala mo sa iba. Manalangin na lang ng tahimik at wag na magprotesta. Para sa bayan, sa ating mga kababayan, at oo, para din kay Lady Gaga.

"I'm not a creature of your government, Manila!" is a tamer way of saying "F U! Roman church in Manila! F U! fundamentalist bigots! F U! stuck up local artists! F U! fracking Gaga wannabes!
(PS: saw a lot of them cavorting for the late night news camera)

Lady Gaga's message is just timely because of the protests. She have spoken her piece. Mas gusto nyo pa ang ganito kaysa magpaka civilized tayo? Hindi naman sasabihin ni Gaga ito kung sana inintindi lang ninyo ang kanyang pagiging artist.

Gina, how can her soul rot if it's being burned in hell? Hindi na nabubulok ang isang bagay kapag ito ay nasunog na. Get your analogy right. The correct word should have been "burn." A wise man once said, "It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt." In your case, huwag kang mag-comment kung ipapakita mo lang na hindi ka pala nag-iisip.
