Corona defense team spokesperson Atty. Karen Jimeno rushed to the hospital

ANC Headstart reports that Corona impeachment trial defense team spokesperson Atty. Karen Jimeno was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital on Thursday, May 24, and was given "an 'intravenous' or IV line." According to the report, Jimeno said "she has not been feeling well since Wednesday night, May 23." The report also noted that Jimeno "asked her doctors to discharge her today, Friday, May 25, so that she can attend this afternoon's trial but they refused to give her clearance."

    Actually, Tatlong Congressman na ang pumirma sa Challenge ni Corona. Wala daw silang itinatago kaya no sweat yung pagpirma sa kanilang Waivers, Chia-Challenge nga nila yung 188 at si Drilon na pumirma din para sa transparency daw ng TUWID NA DAAN. We've got those 188 and One by the balls! You know why? marami diyan magkakandidato.Ang Kailangan lang eh constant pressure sa mga mamamayan,simbahan, kabataan at iba pang progressive sectors ng lipunan para pumirma din sila. Alam mo, the fastest way to wealth sa Pilipinas eh hindi sa Negosyo o pagkuha ng Engineering,Nursing, Medicine o iba pang potentially lucrative courses.Ang fastest way to wealth eh tatlo lamang. Enter Politics, Be a drug lord/Crime Lord, O kaya magtatag ka ng sarili mong religious Sects, gaya ni Brother Mike,Brother Eddie,Brother Ely, Apollo Quiboloy etc...

      The challenge did not push through in a way that it was not accepted by the impeachment court to further the investigation and send more subpoena to more people. It was quite something to think of really. Maybe, they just want to end this trial. Sana nga napilitan silang lahat pumirma para makita natin who will not and who will be willing to. Your idea of "fastest way to wealth" has some truths in it but those are not the easiest and safest, though. And I think we do not want our young generation to push through with it and take it seriously :-) But the idea is true.

Nakita mo naman kung paano Walanghiyain siya ng Yellow Mob di ba? Daily Inquirer, si Drilon, Si Ombudswoman. yung 188 One, si Harvey Keh, si Walden Bello, etc. ad nauseam. Bakit? masama ba kung yumaman si Corona na ayon sa kanya eh hindi naman niya ninakaw, kundi sa astute handling & husbanding his resources na mula pa daw noong late 60s at wala pa siya sa Gobyerno? ang gusto kong malaman kong kumporme ka sa Challege ni Corona doon sa 188 One na HOLIER THAN THOU na mga Congressman. Ako Sangayon!Para makita na natin kung sino ang mga Santo at Demonyo...

      Let us say I am playing safe because it also involves my daddy's opinion. Anyway, I hope you can forgive me with my "playing safe" :-)
      Gusto mo malaman kung kumporme ako sa challenge ni Corona sa waiver? 188? Yes, I am. But I believe it would not push through and it did not. If it was done to divert attention,then the defense played well because they did it. Tama ka naman, sa pag sang ayon para malaman natin. Kaya lang marami pa ring lalabas na issue tungkol dito, ,mga legalities, mga technicalities. Alam mo naman ang solon, they will evade as long as they can.

    Am not expecting much from the Senate next week. They may still convict the guy because acquittal will lead to a bad precedent. All the grafters in this country (and there's a lot of them) will hedge their bets and just convert their stash to dollars if it's gonna be an acquittal in the books. They could cite this probable senate ruling of a possible acquittal of the CJ in case the heat from the BIR, Ombudsman, PCGG, NBI, and other hawk-eyed government institutions get to be unbearable for their thievery. It'll be like sacrificing the third most powerful person in the land, if it'll come to that. Still, it'll be shameless if they convict the guy. If they have 16 votes, the crown is dead in the water.

      This reason makes discussing the issue with people who has different opinion interesting. You can uncover different areas to discuss, all possible reasons and effects will be unearthed and it will only leave some stones unturned. To rule on this is a challenge to senator judges. It is like a double blade sword, there will be effects when they acquit or they convict.

      I am elated that you asked. May contrary opinion kami pero hindi sa Pro Corona ako at Pro Noy-Noy si daddy or vice versa. It is more aligned to conviction or acquittal thing. Although, the thing is, whenever this topic come to light, it is somewhat related to that. We compare notes, we make predictions about the opinions of the senator judges and every day after the impeachment trial we share opinions. Pardon me but I can only share that much. I do not want to earn the ire of pro Corona or pro Pnoy. I am just excited about next week's episode. It is not that I am taking this thing lightly but, this it it. After many months we will finally have the much awaited result.

    Stressed out, maybe. Their strength and intelligence are put to a test here. May they all be well and may this much talked about impeachment proceedings be done with.

    On the lighter note, I can't wait to be home and have that intelligent argument and discussion with the head of our family :-) we have differing view on this impeachment and for sure this is another issue I must be prepared to tackle with. I wish there's much details to this
