Evelyn Macairan of The Philippine Star (via ABS-CBNNews.com) reports that "the salvage operations for the grounded US Navy warship in Tubbataha Reef continue, another foreign vessel got stranded off Palawan, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said on Tuesday, March 5."

The report noted: "PCG Palawan District commander Commodore Enrico Efren Evangelista said they received a report that the Chinese cargo ship M/V Tai An Hai encountered engine trouble and was adrift late Monday some 96 kilometers south of Tubbataha Reef. Evangelista, however, said the stalled cargo ship would not pose any danger to the reef since the vessel was drifting away from the area."
