Karen A. Pagsolingan and Erwin Santiago of PEP.ph report that on Friday, April 26, Marian Rivera announced that she has parted ways with Popoy Caritativo, her manager of seven years. Rivera is now under the management of showbiz veteran Tony Tuviera, who had served as her manager before she joined Caritativo’s firm. Rivera cited her desire to have "more freedom" in making career decisions as the reason for her transfer. She also admitted that she experienced some challenges in her working relationship with Caritativo, but she made it clear that she was very grateful to him. For his part, Caritativo said he accepted Rivera’s decision.
Rivera also pointed out that she is set to negotiate her contract with GMA-7, which will expire this coming August. She expressed that she is entertaining the possibility of working under different TV networks.
