ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Nancy Binay respects Vice Ganda's opinion on her senatorial bid despite the fact that she has virtually no political background.

In a press conference where Vice Ganda was asked if she wanted to join politics, Vice Ganda joked that she would run for president immediately. She then made a reference to current candidates, "[P]arang mga pulitiko ngayon. Walang background, pero Senador agad."

Binay claims that the comedienne's reaction to her is not surprising, "Expected ko na yun kasi during the 2010 election nandun siya sa kalaban ng brother ko for mayor of Makati." She then once again cited her experience as an assistant to her parents.

On the other hand, Vice Ganda clarified that she was not insulting Binay but was merely pointing out a fact.

well, i have no sides to both. In my opinion what Vice Ganda did was an eye opener to all Filipinoes that we should think, examine and careful in choosing our leaders but in this case, I can also see that what Vice Ganda did was very bias or too personal. If the reporter asked him about that person he could have said there are plenty. He could have mentioned manny or jinky who are now running for a position. What are the qualifications by the way to be A GOOD LEADER or having a political background is enough? what if he/she study law do u think this is also enough? being so bright is also enough? That's all Folks.... opinion lang po..
