( Whether as an entrée or as bar chow, fish and chips can now be found in most menus in the metro even if authentic "chippies" have yet to invade the city. How does one earn a spot on the best fish and chips list? We looked for fish and chips combos with greaseless, crunchy and crispy batter hugging tender and still-steaming well-seasoned fish (read: no need to slather on a lot of tartar sauce nor keep dunking the fish in vinegar). Here, our 10 favorites in town:
