(SPOT.ph) Zac Efron's proclamation as Penshoppe's newest international celebrity endorser last month came as a surprise, although we can't say we didn't see it coming.
Sure, the High School Musical heartthrob is ridiculously good-looking and lots of females will no doubt enjoy the view that Metro Manila's billboards have already started to offer, but the practice of hiring foreign celebs to promote Filipino products has been around for years. Even though Efron landed "the biggest endorsement deal in the Philippines," in the race to the "top-foreign-endorser-of-a-local-brand" heap, we'd have to say, "Close, but no cigar." Here's our list of the global stars who really made us sit up and take notice when they appeared in all their product-shilling glory.
