SPOT.ph's 10 Delicious Alternatives to Fruitcake

(SPOT.ph) Fruitcake: that sweet brown loaf soaked in alcohol and topped with candied fruits, citrus rinds, raisins, prunes, nuts and spices. It's not particularly the easy favorite, but the giving of fruitcakes has long been a Christmas tradition. Truth be told, less and less people love it. It's become a popular joke that the fruitcake you have once given will eventually finds its way back to you. How about we break the vicious cycle and focus on 10 gift-friendly cakes that can potentially—and probably should—give the fruitcake a run for its money. In no particular order:
