(SPOT.ph) Everyone loves ice cream; not everyone can take the regular stuff due to possible allergies or personal aversions to dairy. But the dessert can be made with dairy alternatives—and when done right it can be dreamy in its own right! Take the stuff by homegrown brand Alt Scoops, for example, made with oat milk—which lends it a nutty taste and light but refreshing consistency that are perfect on a hot day. There's more where that came from, as Alt Scoops recently opened their own physical shop at The Podium.

Here's what you can order at Alt Scoops' physical ice cream shop:
Alt Scoops' The Podium outlet was co-created with design studio PINO Studio; as you'd expect they deliver in the visuals department, with the use of pastels on the counter and elsewhere around the space. Walk up to the said counter and you'll see a display of pints and bars of their ice cream (also referred to as gelato on the menu) that you can take home, as well as their array of flavors available by the scoop.
Regular flavors are the Strawberry, Ferrero, Dark Chocolate, Burnt Caramel, Mint Chocolate, Cappuccino Crunch, Stracciatella, Oreo, Vanilla, and Matcha, while premium flavors include the Sugar-Free Hazelnut and Sugar-Free Dark Chocolate. These all happen to be vegan and dairy-free, of course—and you can opt to order by the scoop (P150/regular, up to two flavors; P200/large, up to three flavors; additional P25 for Premium flavors) in a cup or Chia cone (additional P20). You can also go the sipping route and order your flavor of choice as a Milkshake (P180).
Worth trooping over for, too, is Alt Scoops' Soft-Serve, also available in a cup or Chia cone (additional P20). A Plain serving with syrup (choose from Chocolate, Caramel, or Matcha) goes for P125, but you can also go for the option with toppings (P150/one topping, P170/two toppings, additional P20 per additional topping)—go ham as they've got bananas, mangoes, strawberries, cookie butter grahams, crushed Oreos, Ovaltine, golden cereal, waffle cone pieces, coffee jelly, and brownie chunks.
The Podium shop is also home to new and exclusive numbers. Try the Croffle (P120) a.k.a. Korea's trendy waffled croissant for a crisp-buttery bite, or the Brownie (P100) or Chocolate Chip Cookie (P100) if you're in for a decadent treat. Heck, go all out—you can opt to have a scoop of their ice cream (additional P100) or Soft-Serve (additional P75) on the side.
And for a dose of nostalgia—something we could all use, really—don't miss the Banana Split (P250) with three ice cream flavors of your choice! Talk about the perfect pre-, mid-, or post-shopping dessert.
