(SPOT.ph) If you've been up to date in food news lately, or if you've simply visited their restaurant, you might have noticed something new with Poblacion's Le Petite Cafe Fleur or Fleur as it is now simply called. This cozy Poblacion spot has confirmed over its social media pages that it is currently undergoing an "evolution." TBH, it got us worried—are we about to lose another tita-friendly with actually good food spot in Makati? The short answer is no. So if you're curious about what this new Fleur means for you as a diner, read up. We talked with representatives of the brand and got all the deets about Fleur's evolution.

Here's what's new with Fleur in Poblacion:

Aside from the obvious name change, Fleur's look also got a bit of an upgrade. From bare white walls that add to the restaurant's overall minimalist, tropical vibe, the spot now sports additional floral accents on the walls. Yup, the Poblacion staple has really embraced everything floral.

Unfortunately, though, the evolution also brings with it the end of an era. Le Petite Cafe Fleur—now Fleur— was a partnership between the prolific Chef Sau del Rosario and the PYC Food Group. Sadly, the partnership has run its course, and the partners have decided to amicably part ways. This is also the underlying reason behind the closure of another Chef Sau and Poblacion-favorite, Sawsaw.  But don't worry, Spotters, representatives from Fleur have confirmed that despite Chef Sau not being at the helm of the resto, we can still expect "the same well-loved dishes, the same dedicated kitchen, the same excellent friendly service as it continues to be operated by PYC Foods Inc."

TLDR: New Look, Same Food— something we're very glad to report as huge fans of their Salted Egg Prawns and fork-tender Galbi Jim.

But in happier news, aside from the aesthetic changes, we're also getting a new branch. Yup, fans of Fleur's hearty, comforting eats would be glad to know that the restaurant is opening a second outpost in San Juan soon. Representatives from the brand have confirmed that Fleur is opening in San Juan's Glass House in the second half of this year. Although there is no final opening date as of writing, we're keeping our eyes peeled for any new developments.

Fleur is at 5893 Enriquez Street, Poblacion, Makati. For more information, visit Fleur's Facebook page.
