Here's everything you need to know about the Philippine Coffee Expo:
If the date and venue seem familiar, that's because the Philippine Coffee Expo is happening at the same time and place as the Philippine Book Festival, the country's largest traveling book fair. Yup, if you're looking for a weekend of coffee and books—a match made in introvert heaven—then best make your way to the World Trade Center in Pasay next weekend.
Now on its second year, the Philippine Coffee Expo (PCE) is back and is bigger than ever. Those interested in getting into the coffee sector can take this expo as the opportunity to mingle and meet with key players in the business. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Philippine Coffee: Brewing the Future” and among the highlights of the three-day expo will be international and local speakers presenting in the plenary and different breakout sessions, coffee cupping sessions, and barista competitions.
There will also be a large number of exhibitors showcasing their products and services in the coffee industry. This is the place to be if you're looking for anything to up the ante in your home brewing or if you're looking to open your very own coffee business.
How to get tickets to the Philippine Coffee Expo
To attend the PCE, you must first register on their official Philippine Coffee Expo website. Tickets to the expo can be bought per day, especially if you only intend to attend a specific talk or just visit for a day. Alternatively, if you want to visit on all three days, you can also buy a set pass. Pro tip: Buy your tickets before May 29 to take advantage of the early bird rate.
There are also two kinds of tickets, one being the limited expo pass and the other being the full access pass. Limited Expo Passes (either single-day or three-day) only have access to the exhibit and competitions hall. Meanwhile, the Full Access Pass permits you to visit exclusive areas like the plenary hall, roasters forum, and other activities throughout the day.
