(SPOT.ph) KBBQ might be the most popular in these parts, but it's by no means the only winning hunger-buster Korean cuisine's got to offer. Also stellar in its own right is bibimbap—the all-in-one dish of rice, veggies, meat or other proteins (and oftentimes, an egg) served in a bowl, to be all mixed together with a fiery dollop of gochujang. Should the hankering strike, we say you might as well sate it while contributing to a cause to help farmers in need—e.g., Sama-Samang Artista para sa Kilusang Agraryo's Bibimbap, available for preorders until May 28 for delivery on May 30 and 31.

Order up this bibimbap by local organization SAKA:

The Bibimbap is the latest addition to Sama-Samang Artista para sa Kilusang Agraryo (SAKA)'s Kitchen Kalasag series—seasonally available dishes cooked up by members of the SAKA team, to help fund the organization's projects that aim to bring light to agrarian reform and other important issues today.

Take your pick between the vegan-friendly Bibimbap Regular (P180) and the egg-topped Bibimbap With Egg (P200)—both of which are packed with plants. SAKA's bibimbap has a feisty (and nutritionally sound!) mix of kangkong kimchi (using water spinach planted in farmlands acquired through collective action of farmers in UP Diliman's Area 17, itself facing the threat of demolition), seasoned spinach, and fermented red onions (using rescued onions from Mindoro, planted by farmers who also face the threat of losing access to their land).

You can go for the egg-topped version, too.

Preorders can be placed until tomorrow, May 28, via SAKA's online order form; the organization accepts payments via BPI, GCash, and Paymaya. Take your pick between May 30 and 31 pickups (both at lunchtime); you can then book a courier to pick them up and get them delivered to your doorstep.
