(SPOT.ph) Anyone who has watched even one episode of a K-drama would know the cultural importance of a steaming, hot bowl of ramyeon. The Korean instant noodle is a staple in any young adult's life in South Korea, so much so that it has crossed the seas and made the same cultural impact here. Nowadays, many Filipinos also go gaga for the spicy, flavor-rich instant soup and would go to great lengths to get a pack of their favorites, but if you're from Quezon City or the general North-East area of the Metro, you're in luck. Right in the center of the famous Maginhawa street is Ramyeon Bar and Restaurant. Here you can have a bowl of almost any K-noodle you can think of and then some.

Here's what you need to know about Ramyeon Bar and Restaurant in Quezon City:

It's not hard to find this newly opened hotspot in Maginhawa. Located in front of OG restaurants like Friuli Trattoria and Crazy Katsu, Ramyeon Bar and Restaurant is a brightly lit oasis on the relatively quieter side of the food district. Open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. daily, the Ramyeon Bar can be a place for you to chill and have a light snack, a full meal, or somewhere to while away the time in the lonely cold night.

When you enter the Ramyeon Bar and Restaurant, try not to be overwhelmed by what we call the ramyeon wall, which displays all 100 flavors and varieties of instant noodles available, that'll greet you. From soupy ramyeon packs like Shin Ramyeon and Jjampong to dry saucy noodles like jjajangmyeon and Chapagetti, if you've seen it on TV, they most probably have it.

You'll be charged a base price of P40 for the facilities and cooking fee, and then on top of that, you have to pay for the ramyeon pack which can set you back as low as P49 to a whopping P249 depending on the brand and flavor. But aside from having  plain ol' instant noodles, you can add extra toppings like egg, cheese, crabsticks, and other Korean sides like kimchi, tteokboki, and sausages (all with different prices) to make your bowl your own.

After picking out all your sides and base noodles, you proceed to pay and cook your noodles at the self-serve counter. They even have pretty aesthetic golden metal bowls, spoons, and chopsticks to tie in the Korean vibe.

From here, you can choose from the many tables scattered around. Chill and enjoy the K-pop beats that play all around or revel in the neverending stream of music videos, mukbang clips, and other K-content played on their screens.

While you're there, you can grab a cup of the different packed coffee and juice you can mix with ice making rounds on social media. Our personal favorite, and TBH, a welcome surprise on the menu, is the Omija tea/ juice. This berry drink is perfect for feeling refreshed on a hot day.
