Matgalne
Hidden on the second floor of a condominium in Ortigas CBD, Matgalne is popular for their unlimited grilled offerings. And like many Korean restos in the Metro, the diner boasts a homey atmosphere and excellent customer service. The place can get terribly packed on weekends, but don’t worry because they allow reservations! Lee Hak
Here’s another Korean-buffet joint where you'll get a lot of bang for your buck, but keep your eyes peeled because Lee Hak’s entrance is easy to miss. You know you’ve reached the restaurant when you see two big and old-fashioned wooden doors that seem misplaced amid a modern, concrete building. Once you step inside, you can immediately tell what’s cooking—K-barbecue! For less than P400, you can sample their Unlimited BBQ Buffet, which includes all-time favorite meat selections like samgyupsal and chadolbagi, as well as eat-all-you-can sides such as lettuce, spicy kimchi, and japchae.

Masil
It’s safe to say that Masil is already a Pasig institution when it comes to straightforward Korean cuisine. Now with two branches in the city, the restaurant is known for their set menus, which often come with a variety of meats and dishes like galbisal, samgyupsal, and chadolbagi, Korean pancakes, jjigae (or stew), japchae, and steaming white rice. It’s best to come with friends because their servings are generous. Meanwhile, looking for a parking space will be the least of your concerns since both branches have plenty of space.

Yeongyang Hansik
Yeongyang Hansik is the newest kid on the block. Located at Madison Commons Food Park in Kapitolyo, the restaurant might also be the smallest. But what they might lack in seating capacity, they make up for with their flavorful, traditional Korean dishes. What’s particularly amazing about this low-key K-barbecue joint is that they offer their Samgyupsal (P380/classic, P410/other flavors) and Usamgeop (P439/classic, (P465/other flavors) or beef in seven (yes, seven!) flavors including classic, sweet and spicy, soy garlic, herbs, curry, teriyaki, and honey glazed. They even have Dakgalbi (P649) or barbecued chicken, which you can dip in hot and gooey cheese.

Ye Dang
This Pasig mainstay is one of the more popular K-grill restaurants in the city. Although parking can be a challenge here, Ye Dang serves some of the best barbecues in the Metro—choose from any of their marinated meats like Galbi (P350) or beef short ribs, Donsam (P350) or thinly sliced pork belly, Galbisal (P450) or U.S. beef rib fingers, among others. Each grilled-meat platter comes with either rice or lettuce, and a lot of banchan, so better come with an empty tummy.
