(SPOT.ph) A new weekend food hub was launched at Ortigas Center in Pasig City on Saturday where customers can shop for fresh produce and home cooked meals while helping small business and vendors earn during the pandemic.

Ortigas Market, located at F. Ortigas Road (formerly Emerald Avenue) at the Ortigas Center, will open every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. to offer a wide variety of local goods and other food items from its 33 stalls.

Ortigas Market opens for the community:

The open-air food hub was opened to promote community building among residents of Pasig City and open up opportunities for small enterprises and vendors who struggled with their businesses at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Pasig City government.

Aside from shopping for food items, customers can also enjoy live entertainment when they visit the food hub to unwind after the long workweek.

Ortigas Market also accepts businesses and vendors who are interested in setting up their stalls in the food hub.
