Carly Rae Jepsen back in Manila for Wanderland 2023
Wanderland Festival dropped the news on their social media pages on December 19, dubbing the artist as a "prismatic pop singer-songwriter" and promising a "FULL HEADLINE SET" in all caps. Apt. If you're still at the "Call Me, Maybe" stage of the Carly Rae Jepsen catalogue, this is your wake-up call to open your eyes and ears. The artist just dropped her latest album The Loneliest Time in October and yes, each track is an absolute bop. This will also be her third time in the country, following two solo concerts; if you were at any of those, we doubt this festival run will be any less magical.
It was previously announced that French indie-pop band Phoenix will be headlining the two-day festival, their first since 2019 but eighth overall. The comeback is slated for March 4 and 5 at the Filinvest City Event Grounds in Alabang. So yup, we've got two greats coming in to mark the return of this massive music fest which will see international and local acts like No Rome, Men I Trust, August Wahh, Sunset Rollercoaster, The Sundown and more.
Tickets are now available for two-day passes through Tickelo. For more information, check out the Wanderland Festival site.
