(SPOT.ph) One of the most anticipated movies of 2023 (apart from Barbie, of course) is none other than The Flash. The Andy Muschietti film, which had a couple of setbacks throughout production—directorial changes, COVID-19, and more—is finally set to finally premiere in the Philippines on June 14.

Summit Media hosted a special advanced screening of the film on June 9 at Shangri-la Plaza and we're here to tell you all about it.

The first of many advanced screenings, Summit Sessions Movie Night is an initiative of Summit Media and Warner Brother Philippines that will showcase key WB films ahead of its world premiere. We had PEP.ph keeping the red carpet hot and titles like Esquire keeping watch on the latest from the DC Universe. There were folks who came in donning the cape and, of course, the bright reds of our DC heroes. And best of all, there was even a pupper who walked the carpet.

First on the slate is The Flash starring Ezra Miller from the Fantastic Beasts franchise. The film centers around the comic book character Barry Allen as he travels back in time to prevent his mother's death—a key moment in his superhero narrative. Joining the ride and reprising his role as Batman is Ben Affleck while Michael Keaton plays an alternate universe version of the same character. Other notable stars include Sasha Calle, the first Latina actress to portray Kara Zor-El a.k.a. Supergirl; Ron Livingston as Henry Allen; and Michael Shannon as General Zod.
