WATCH: This New Pinoy Romance Movie Asks How Far You'll Go for Your Crush

(SPOT.ph) Pinoys can't get enough of all things sweet and hugot, so it's no surprise we never run out of new romantic films to catch in cinemas. The latest local movie to have everyone swooning is this new offering from VIVA Films.

Theater, TV, and film actor JC Santos plays Fidel, a stuttering student who has harbored a crush on his friend, Stella (Bela Padilla). To win her heart, he writes a hundred poems dedicated to her throughout their for years of college.

The film is directed by Jason Paul Laxamana, who also helmed rom-coms like The Third Party and Love Is Blind, as well as the Cinemalaya 2016 entry, Mercury Is Mine.

100 Tula Para Kay Stella is slated for nationwide release on August 16.
