Get Ready, Bookworms: Save the Date for Manila International Book Fair 2023
(SPOT.ph) As much as we love shopping from the comforts of our homes, nothing beats pushing a cart full of books and then coming back to the aisles for more. Most of us are familiar with this scene, and it's happening again soon—in the fourth quarter of this year, to be precise. The Manila International Book Fair, which is touted as the "largest and longest-running book fair in the Philippines" is having its 2023 installment from September 14 to 17 at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City, and surprise, entrance is free.

About the Manila International Book Fair
Like in previous years, there's no need to pay for a ticket to the country's largest and longest-running book fair, granted you've done your homework beforehand. All you have to do is register through their website, save the e-tickets, and you're good to go. Registration is open now until September 8. If we were you, we'd register ASAP just so we won't forget.
The first Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) was held in 1980 at what was then known as Philcite (or the Philippine Center for International Trade and Exhibit) within the Cultural Center of the Philippines Complex. It was originally called Bookfair Manila, which lasted for a whole month. Since then, the fair has convened local publishers, writers, and readers in an annual event that celebrates the love for reading.
The Manila International Book Fair has yet to reveal this year's roster of exhibitors and publishing-related events.
