(SPOT.ph) Machines are the way to go when it comes to upkeep. Yes, we do mean the upkeep of your body because sometimes, not even ritualistic skincare can cut it. Machine treatments are quick, can be done with limited downtime, and above all else, are effective. We're sure you've seen your fave celebrities and beauty enthusiasts visiting their aesthetic center of choice. We're here to confirm that it's not just hype, and even further, it's not just your face and body that deserves machines. To quote Mean Girls—despite it not being a Wednesday nor October 3rd—"The limit does not exist." Now, you might be thinking about those types of machines, and we won't fault you; sex toys can be good for your overall health too.
What we're talking about though are wellness machines that'll make you feel all sorts of futuristic vibes, some of which you can find at this hub in Makati City. If you've seen these strange machines before, we walk you through a few of the ones you can try at this spot.

Check out Fixilab, a futuristic wellness center in Makati
Located in the Princess Building at Legazpi Village, Fixilab Future Therapy Clinic looks more like a spa than a machine-driven wellness center. Warm browns and creams welcome you into a posh reception area (decked out in Halloween garb as of this writing) while you wait to be assisted.
Upon registering, a medical associate will take you to an assessment room wherein you will be asked about your general health as well as have your blood pressure checked. All steps to determine if you are eligible for the treatments they will tell you about.
Once all of the information has been recorded, the associate will then recommend treatments that will address the concerns you've mentioned. For this author, the concerns were lower back pain, frequent migraines, and tension headaches so the recommended course of action was to give the Espinebot and High Energy Therapy a try.
Every single machine in Fixilab has a ton of Transformer-like features aimed at targeting the concerns you have in your life, er, your body with each being safe and free from side effects. The machines were brought in from Israel.
The Espinebot (P16,000/session) is more of a massage bed-slash-chiropractor hybrid, which is just one way to describe it. It aims to relieve pain in the neck, shoulders, waist, and leg by utilizing vibrations and massage-like movements in the machine. Think of a really firm pillow being pushed up your back but in a soothing, slow motion. It also aims to help improve your sleep pattern; after one session, the author can see the difference. The Epsinebot machine takes a total of 20 minutes per session.
Transferring to a different room, the High Energy Therapy (P5,000/session) is a great example of the saying that looks can be deceiving. The room contains a treatment bed and a tiny machine occupying the space, perhaps the most inconspicuous-looking one in the entire place. The device, which is a mat placed on top of the bed, uses negative ions and electrical fields to restore weak cells and strengthen the immune system. You'd think the machine isn't working given that you're just lying there, but after a couple of minutes, a low electrical current can be felt passing through certain parts of your body, which according to the technician, are the ions at work trying to improve lymph and blood circulation. Given that the author experiences frequent migraines and tension headaches, the low electrical current was mostly felt in the temple area and the shoulders. A session of High Energy Therapy is about 20 minutes long.
After both treatments, the author was treated to a cup of warm tea to further relax the body. While you'd be tempted to try each and every fancy device they have at their disposal, it is recommended to have only a maximum of three treatments per visit.
