(SPOT.ph) When we think of Cebu, we immediately gravitate toward the idea of being in a tropical paradise surrounded by crystal clear waters, white-sand beaches, and seafronts lined by coconut trees. No doubt, Cebu has all that, but don't count out the Queen City of South for lush mountainside views as well. Recently, we spotted Wooloo, a resort in Consolacion, Cebu, with rates starting at P6,888. A stay here lets you bask in the beauty of the Visayan island's underrated hillside sans the hike.

Currently on a soft launch, Wooloo has two main accommodation buildings which can house a total of 10 guests. Both buildings are made completely of bamboo but are decked out with air conditioning, appliances, and other creature comforts.

The first building, named Kuma, is perfect for big groups.  The small cottage has six double-deck beds, a mini-fridge, and a small wading pool on the outside.

It has a pretty simple layout. There's nothing much in the house but the beds, tiny table, and small appliances, but you gotta admit this is giving serious summer camp vibes perfect for late-night chitchat sessions for you and your friends.

While the second house on the property, called Sasa, seems more appropriate for couples or those with small families looking to unwind and reconnect. The two-story structure houses a living common living space and a wading pool on the ground floor, while the second floor is a dedicated sleeping area.

Don't expect a lot of modern-day amenities at Sasa, but given its natural setting with panoramic views, you don't really need much. Just like the Kuma cottage, it's your standard bed, mini-fridge, and air cooler only.

Should you book a stay in Wooloo,  food shouldn't be a problem. All the room rates include brunch for guests. But if you do get hungry outside the complimentary meal times, a stone's throw away from the resort is Nanda Cafe. Owned by the same folks, you can grab a bite to eat here and enjoy the surroundings or order snacks to be delivered to your rooms.

So if you're looking to change up your Cebu trip from the usuals, we suggest giving this under-the-radar boutique stay a shot.
