(SPOT.ph)  Arguably one of the best things about spending Christmas in the Philippines is that there is never a shortage of the Christmas spirit, no matter how tough life is becoming for everyone these days. And as we get closer to Christmas Day, more and more Christmas-themed attractions are opening, ready to serve up some holiday cheer and get people in the giving mood. The best part about these sights is that most of them don't even have to cost an arm and a leg to get in. Take, for example, this newly opened Christmas park in Taguig called Christmas by the Lake—a family-friendly outdoor attraction at the Lakeshore Area in Barangay Lower Bicutan. It features light shows, food parks, and a whole lot of holiday shebang. The attraction is open to the public daily until January 15 from 5 p.m. until 12 a.m. Oh, and if you're wondering how much it costs to enter, well, surprise! It's free.

Christmas by the Lake is the Taguig LGU's initiative to showcase the city's Christmas spirit. It is a six-hectare space that features several attractions, such as The Lights of Christmas park, the TLC food park, interactive murals, a walkway of lights, fish ponds, and the Mercado Floating Village.

Guests who want to visit The Lights of Christmas park are advised to book online, as only a limited number of visitors will be allowed entry to the park at a time. However, aside from the lights show, all other attractions are open for walk-in guests.
