(SPOT.ph) Most Filipinos are crazy about basketball. We have long-running pro leagues and collegiate-level competitions, and even barangay-sponsored ones. But what if you're not playing in any of these? Fortunately, there are a number of indoor basketball courts in Metro Manila that you can rent out for friendly games on the weekends or after a stressful day at work.

The Upper Deck

The Upper Deck is an all-in-one sports facility that caters to gym buffs, yogis, freedivers, wall climbers, and other sports enthusiasts. It has the Plunge Dive Club and Edge Climb Gym on the first floor; and two basketball courts and seven badminton courts on the sixth floor of the Ortigas Technopoint Building. The basketball court is available for rent at P3,000 per hour if you're using it without air-conditioning and P6,000 per hour if you want the AC on. There's an additional P50 fee for all players and guests using the court.
To book, just send the date and time of your preferred usage, number of courts, contact name, mobile number, and e-mail address to their cellphone or e-mail. Allow 24 hours of response time as there might be a surge in inquiries.
Gatorade Hoops Center

Gatorade Hoops Center's wooden floorboard is at par with the court dimensions of the NBA, which also makes it the training grounds of many local PBA teams. Its starting rate is at P2,100 per hour, but prices go up to P8,400 per hour when air-conditioning is used. The use of the scoreboard adds a cost of P300 per game, which is already good for two hours. Guests also get paid parking validation for up to three hours.
Cloverleaf Court

Cloverleaf Court's location near EDSA makes it an ideal after-work hangout. You can find it at Cloverleaf Place, which is right behind the Guadalupe Commercial Complex and Guadalupe MRT Station. The starting rate of P1,500 per hour is available from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an additional of P200 for use between 5 p.m. and 12 a.m. The scoreboard add-on sets you back P750.
The Playground by Cloverleaf

Cloverleaf Court's second branch, The Playground, opened in 2018. Rates are a bit higher compared to the Makati outpost with prices at P1,700 per hour between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m., and P1,900 between 5 p.m. and 12 a.m.
G-Court

Unlike most indoor basketball courts, G-Court has multi-color Decoflex instead of hardwood floors. This uses a rubber base mat and is said to be specifically engineered to be anti-slip. G-Court is a 10-minute walk from Boni MRT Station.

Moro Lorenzo Sports Center

Since it's usually used by the college team, renting Ateneo de Manila University's Moro Lorenzo Sports Center may be a bit tricky. But they immediately reply on Facebook with available slots, especially if you already have a preferred date and time. The gym is located beside the Ateneo High School building.
Prime Mobility Sports and Recreation Center

Located beside the famous Mandarin Sky Restaurant in Banawe, Prime Mobility Sports and Recreation Center, which is located beside the famous Mandarin Sky Restaurant in Banawe, opened its doors in 2018. If you're bringing a car, you can park at their basement. Locker rooms are also available.
Boost Basketball

Boost Basketball is available for daily, weekly, and monthly booking, especially if you and your friends are interested with regular ball workouts. Rental for the whole court is P1,800 on weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and P2,000 on weekends and holidays and on weekdays after 6 p.m. Scoreboard costs an additional P200. If you wish to only use half a court, the rate is P500 per hour.
Rim Sports Center

Just opened in 2021, Rim Sports Center features a basketball court with hardwood floors. They're mostly responsive on Facebook and regularly posts the available slots for court rental. You and your non-pro team can also join their summer league for weekend games, which are facilitated by Bolboleros Basketball Club.
Victoria Sports Club

While Victoria Sports Club is mostly by membership, they also allow non-members to rent their badminton, tennis, and basketball courts. To shoot some hoops, you need to pay the rental fee of P5,000 per hour with a maximum of 20 players.
This sports condo, which also houses Manuel L. Quezon University and MLQU School For Professional Advancement and Continuing Education, opened in 2017. They also have a jogging track, a 50-meter lap pool, a boxing gym, medical laboratories, and clinics.
