"Jelly" shoe store Geléia (meaning "jelly" in Portuguese) opened recently in Trinoma in Quezon City. The store promises to carry the largest selection of the Melissa footwear brand in the Philippines. Melissa is know as one of the world’s most renowned manufacturer of jelly shoes and has been around for more than three decades.

Geléia carries all sorts of Melissa styles and designs from flip flops (starting at P1,599) to collaboration designs (Vivienne Westwood collaborations range from P4,599 to P5,999). The brand targets women who love fashion but still prioritize comfort. Among the latest styles released this August are the Hoop (P2,895), Magic (P3,250), Marine II (P2,895), Royale (P2,895), and Vivienne Westwood + Melissa Ultragirl (P4,599) syles. Swarovski-studded styles are also available and can go as high as P12,950.
The Melissa brand, sold by Geléia, takes pride in being fashion-forward, fresh (with candy scent), and creative. Besides Vivenne Westwood, there are also other colaborations from designers such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Karim Rashid, and Zaha Hadid. Melissa’s parent company, Grendene, also strives to be eco-friendly by recycling all its waste materials.
