This artist makes jaw-dropping pumpkin carvings
He makes us want to carve kalabasa.
(SPOT.ph) Chicago-based artist Edward Cabral masterfully transforms pumpkins into amazing works of art. He is currently working on a series for a three-week-long Halloween celebration in Louisville, Kentucky, called Jack-O'-lantern Spectacular. The show will feature skits on a quarter-mile trail of intricate pumkins from 12 artists, including Cabral, who started pumpkin carving three years ago.
Check out his masterpieces.
The 28-year old artist is also a painter and cake decorator. He is not new to working with unpreserved media. "I work a lot in media that cannot be archived, like food and unfired ceramic, because I enjoy watching my work decay," Cabral told Mashable. We're wishing there's a kalabasa lantern festival in the Philippines!
