(SPOT.ph) These days, there's no stopping anyone from going to the mall. There's always a shopping center at every corner waiting for someone in need of retail therapy, a group of friends looking for a place to eat, or couples who are out for a movie date. To add to our long list of things to do when inside a mall, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City holds another edition of Art for Everyone from August 27 to September 1. The week-long selling exhibit features curated works by student-artists and art enthusiasts from the University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, University of Santo Tomas, De La Salle University, and other art organizations.

SM Supermalls first hosted Art for Everyone in 2016, and has since gave mallgoers a chance to enjoy masterpieces by homegrown talents. Twenty-two other malls around the country also have their own art sale and exhibit on the same dates, including SM Center Angono, SM Marikina, SM City Cebu, SM City Legazpi, and SM City Bacolod.

Aside from the exhibit, SM Megamall is also showcasing works by Juvenal Sanso—a Spanish-born painter who grew up in Manila and studied under the tutelage of Fernando Amorsolo, Dominador Castañeda, and Ireneo Miranda. Former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo awarded him the Presidential Medal of Merit in 2006. Art for Everyone: A Sy-Sanso Art Tribute runs until August 25 at selected SM Megamall art galleries like Artasia, Art Circle Gallery, Galerie Francesca, and Renaissance Gallery.
Art for Everyone: A Selling Exhibit Made by Artsy Youth and Enthusiasts runs from August 27 to September 1 at Mega Fashion Hall, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City. For more information, visit SM Supermalls’ website.
