Poblacion Hangout Futur:st Reopens With a Bold Photo Exhibit
They're back!

(SPOT.ph) Pre-quarantine, Poblacion—an old downtown area in Makati City—would transform from being a laid-back neighborhood by day to a party town at night. It is home to a number of bars and restaurants where people often hang out especially at the end of a busy work week. After seven months of lockdown, the once-buzzing district is slowly coming back to life. This includes Today x Future's sister bar, Futur:st (pronounced “futurist”), which reopened on October 9 with a photo exhibit by Cru Camara. Viewing is via appointment.
Looking Back, Looking Forward deals with this global transition as we ease up quarantine restrictions and shift into what is usually called the "new normal." "Camara’s compositions contain an inherent split. In a contrasting dive between detailed digital montages and spacious, singular images, what unifies is her stark color-play signature," the exhibit's citation said. All works are for sale.
The Poblacion hangout has also started serving their usual bar chow to patrons. Walk-ins are welcome, but it's best to book a table ahead of time because capacity is still limited. Some of the safety measures being implemented are regular disinfection of tables and chairs, the use of a disposable menu, and increased distance between tables. Visitors are also required to scan their QR code for contact tracing, use the santizer and foot bath before coming in, and wear masks and shields.

You can also order delivery or takeout through their Instagram page.
Looking Back, Looking Forward runs until October 21 at Futur:st, 5062 Guerrero Street, Poblacion, Makati City. It is open from Friday to Sunday, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. For bookings, follow Futur:st on Instagram.
